The Problem of Drift
Most people know what matters to them. The challenge is living it consistently. Drift is the gap between what we value and what we repeatedly do.
“The goal is not perfection. The goal is reducing the distance between what you say matters and how you actually live.”
The CEO Developmental Pathway™
CEO development moves from what you value to what you repeatedly do, shaping who you become and the outcomes you produce.

Executive Development Through Identity Formation
The Business of Me™ develops executive capacity across the domains where life is actually lived.
Identity Isn't Built
in One Place:
Our CEOs don't compartmentalize their values.
They live them personally.
They practice them in their families.
They apply them intellectually.
They demonstrate them in their communities.
Body, mind, emotions, discipline.
Personal
Trust, communication, leadership.

MEET THE FOUNDER
I believe the greatest gap in life isn't between talent and success.
It's between intention and action.
Lawrence Gardiner, MA, LIMHP, is the founder of The CEO Initiative and creator of The Business of Me™. As a licensed mental-health professional and youth-development strategist, Lawrence combines clinical insight with executive-function expertise to help the next generation master self-leadership. Author of 'Up the Game', he is a dedicated coach and keynote speaker focused on closing the gap between intention and action.
The Business of Me is an educational and developmental coaching service. It is not psychotherapy, clinical assessment, crisis intervention, or medical treatment. Participation does not establish a therapist-client relationship.

Up the Game™
The 5Cs Framework
Up the Game™ introduced the 5 Cs as a framework for intentional growth: Courage, Consciousness, Connection, Commitment, and Compassion.
The work raised a larger question: What if we stopped waiting until adulthood to intentionally develop the capacities people need to navigate life?
That question helped inspire the evolution from a personal-development framework into the broader developmental work behind The CEO Initiative™.
